The fine print, in plain language

Terms of service.

Short, honest, and written for a person — not a law firm. Last updated October 2026.

Who we are

An independent travel agency.

Fluent Travel is an independent travel agency. Our industry accreditation is currently in progress — we say so here because a business that won’t tell you its standing can’t ask for your trust. We act as your agent in arranging travel services provided by third-party suppliers (cruise lines, hotels, airlines, tour operators).

Quotes

An estimate until it’s ticketed.

Every quote we send is an estimate based on live supplier pricing at that moment. Prices can change until your booking is confirmed and a deposit is taken. A quote is not a reservation, and it holds no inventory. We’ll always tell you how long a quoted price is valid for.

Deposits and payments

The supplier’s rules apply.

Deposits, final-payment deadlines, cancellation penalties, and refund policies are set by each supplier — not by us — and vary by sailing, property, and fare type. Before you pay anything, we’ll show you the specific terms for your booking in writing. Never assume two bookings carry the same terms.

Our responsibility

What we can and can’t promise.

We promise care, candor, and competence: accurate information, honest advice, and prompt action on your behalf. We cannot control supplier operations — itinerary changes, weather, mechanical issues, or supplier insolvency — and we aren’t liable for losses caused by events outside our control. If something goes wrong, we’ll be in your corner working on the fix; that’s the whole point of having us.

Documents and insurance

Your paperwork is your responsibility.

You are responsible for holding valid passports, visas, and any required travel documents, and for meeting health and entry requirements at every destination. We strongly recommend travel insurance for every trip — we’ll advise on it, but we can’t insure you by proxy.

The website

Content is illustrative.

Photography, descriptions, and price ranges on this site are illustrative and may not reflect your exact sailing, room, or fare. Where we use typical ranges, we label them as such. Never make a purchasing decision on website copy alone — your written quote is the source of truth.

These terms are a plain-language summary of how we do business. When they need the formal version — for example, at final payment — we’ll provide the supplier’s full terms alongside them. If any part of this page conflicts with a supplier’s written terms, the supplier’s terms govern your booking.
